Description:

More erosion control for Aranda Snow Gums gullies
When: Sunday 19 August anytime from 9am to 12.30pm with our delicious morning tea at 10.30am.
Task: We will return to those unsightly gullies in Aranda Snow Gums to consolidate erosion control done during our July workparty. Parks & Conservation supplied a great pile of small logs and we were fortunate to have Dr David Tongway show us just where and how to place them along the gully edge. Our main August task will be to add the prickly hawthorn debris on either side to fill gaps under the logs and to protect regeneration of native grasses. It's not difficult work, but needs tough gloves/clothing. We should be warm enough whatever the weather.  We may also dig or poison isolated weeds.
Bring/wear: BYO your friends, enthusiasm, hat, sunblock, water, stout shoes and gloves - tools provided. All welcome, come for an hour or the whole time.
Next work parties are Sundays 16 September and  21 October in Aranda Snow Gums.
